Greetings to all our alumni, students, faculty and staff, and friends! The UWSP Division of Communication is happy to host Communication Week 2012, our annual homecoming event during which we invite a number of our former students to return to the classroom, share their expertise, and enjoy the company of everyone in the division. This year’s event is as special as those we’ve held in the last two years, but we’re even more excited to be incorporating more of our arts management alumni into the program.
Please click the link above to watch a short video welcoming our alumni back for this event. And feel free to explore this blog, which was produced by COMM 320 (Multimedia for Journalists) students Kea Gregorich, Jennifer Kaiser and Aaron Krish, along with some assistance from associate professor Steve Hill. See the link on the menu bar for our biography page, schedule, and the news link for other items related to Communication Week. (We’re still under construction, but by the time we have our first guests Monday, Oct. 15, we should have at least most of our guest bios posted and a complete schedule online; we’ll be gathering news during the week.)
While this blog is primarily meant as a way to celebrate and promote the week, we’ll leave it up year-round and will keep it alive for subsequent Communication Week gatherings. Check back over the next couple of weeks for our coverage of the event, and visit occasionally during the year for other information on what’s going on in the department. Be sure to also check out our Facebook page and friend us — we want to keep in touch with all of you. Send news, post to our wall, comment on this blog site, and celebrate communication year-round!
